Since 1975 Vietnam has been ruled by a Communist government, and national security issues are priority. You will be working in a province of Vietnam, on invitation of the province People’s Committee and Health Services bureau. As foreigners you represent Project Vietnam and your country, we ask you to show highest moral standards and respect to the local people, even when you do not understand their language and customs. The Vietnamese are very hospitable and will open up to you if you show them consideration and compassion at all time. Many team members are veterans with the medical mission trips, and will be happy to assist you. On the medical mission trip, we attempt to prepare ahead as much as possible, however please be flexible as the unexpected can happen.

Visa Application and Deposits are due 3 months before the trip.

After you have finalized your commitment to go with us this year, we need to start our visa process. Here's what we need from you:

1. A $225 non-refundable deposit, payable to Project Vietnam, AAP
2. A completed Medical Mission Application (leave blank any area you are unsure of). If you plan on extending your trip and are not sure of your return date, please give us an estimated date.
3. One passport picture.
4. Two copies of your passport face sheet (no original passport needed).

Participants will receive their tickets and visa by certified mail if they live outside of Orange County, and cannot come to the final team meeting.

If you are unable participate at the last minute, we regret that we will not be able to refund you the deposit since the money would have been spent on administrative processes which must start immediately with the government of Viet Nam.

If you depart from locations other than LAX, you may wish to contact our travel agent Christine so she can send you a proposed connecting flight from your chosen airport. The additional cost to you is tax-deductible as well.
